SDC Technology is Widely Recognized by Renowned People and Organizations

SDC (silver dihydrogen citrate) is the engine that powers IV-7 Ultimate Germ Defense™ products. Developed by PURE Bioscience, SDC is a platform technology for a myriad possible applications: Industrial/ Institutional, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles, Food / Water, Household, Preservative, Personal Care, Agriculture.

SDC is non-toxic, non-caustic, colorless, odorless, and does not produce toxic fumes. While SDC is highly toxic to bacteria, fungus and viruses, it is non-toxic to humans and animals.

Based on the EPA toxicity categorization of antimicrobial products that ranges from Category I (high toxicity) down to Category IV, at use dilutions, SDC is rated in the lowest toxicity category, IV, while traditional disinfectants fall into Categories I and II.

We believe that the hard surface disinfectant IV-7 Ultimate Germ Defense™ will soon replace the poisonous chemicals of the past. The technology is so amazing that it had attracted the support of highly recognized people and organizations.

For example, Pure has a widely respected advisory board, including two former presidential cabinet secretaries, Mr. Tommy Thompson and Mr. Tom Ridge.

Mr. Tommy Thompson

Mr. Thompson is the former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and the former four-term Governor of Wisconsin. Some of you may remember, Tommy also ran for his party’s nomination for president this last time, which is impressive, but what is even more impressive, because the power of this fact cannot be over-emphasized, he was the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. His job, simply put, was to advise the president on all matters concerning the health of the American people. This included knowing what should be done to prepare for emergencies across the United States.

And just one of the governmental agencies under him was the CDC, the Center for Disease Control. The mission of the CDC? CDC is the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships.”

When Mr. Thompson left government service he had a lot of tempting choices as to where to hang his hat. You can see how prestigious it would be for a big corporation to hire a man of his experience and stature. But of all the choices he had, what did Tommy do? He signed on to promote SDC, the engine that powers the IV-7Ultimate Germ Defense™. And here’s what he stated:

“I remain committed to my mission of helping to educate government agencies, businesses and consumers about the remarkable benefits of SDC-based products and how they can be instrumental in preventing transmission of dangerous human pathogens like MRSA, Norovirus and the pandemic H1N1 swine flu virus.”

Mr. Tom Ridge

Mr. Ridge was first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, appointed by the president just after the horrible events of 9/11, and is the former Governor of Pennsylvania. Tom’s mission at Homeland Security, simply put, was to keep Americans safe. Tom’s job as governor of Pennsylvania was to ensure the health and safety of the people of his state. This is a man who is as knowledgeable and as experienced as anyone in America when it comes to protecting people.

You can imagine the kind of lucrative offers Tom got when he left government service. But what did he do? Well, he joined up with Tommy Thompson as the best way to continue working to maximize the safety of the American people. Listen to what he has to say about SDC-based products:

“The unique chemical nature of SDC as a stable, powerful, yet non-toxic antimicrobial molecule, renders it critically important to the field of public safety. A multitude of possible applications exists for SDC in domestic and international industry and government, including the military, and I welcome the prospect of working with PURE Bioscience to accelerate its business strategy to commercialize SDC as a platform technology.”

Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Francis Papay

IV-7 makers are working with the Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Papay. Dr. Papay is the head of the department of plastic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, and the chair of its Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Institute. A lot can be said about the Cleveland Clinic, but we should all remember that the Cleveland Clinic was the hospital President Obama chose to visit last year to praise as a model of high quality, cost-effective, 21st century healthcare (read more about the visit )

In 2008 Dr. Papay was part of the team of doctors at the Cleveland Clinic that performed the first facial transplant operation in the United States.

Dr. Papay also co-founded FTA Therapeutics, which right now is testing SDC --again, the engine that powers the IV-7 products --  to create dermatological, wound-care, and medical biofilm-control products. As disclosed by PURE Bioscience, in a recent conference call:

"FTA’s preclinical work with SDC for multiple devices and indications was nearing completion in dermatology and wound care and we expected proofs-of-concept for at least two products during the quarter.  Our approval of the proofs-of-concept would lead to meetings with the FDA and commencement of clinical trials.  We are pleased with the data portfolio that FTA is building that confirms SDC as a remarkable broad spectrum therapeutic antimicrobial in dermatology, wound care and medical biofilm applications."

And, more recently:

The team at FTA has invested significant time and resources into formulation development of SDC into topical fungal products, and we are certainly pleased with the results...Therefore, upon review and acceptance of this proof-of-concept study by FTA, we promptly issued the license to FTA to proceed with the  IND  process.  We look forward to providing updates as clinical trials are completed and milestones are achieved.”

How much does working with Tommy Thompson and Tom Ridge, former cabinet secretaries, the Cleveland Clinic, a world-class, 21st century medical institution, and Dr. Papay, a world-class surgeon and researcher, validate SDC technology? Honestly, I don’t know how it could get any better.
